During this fasting period I really wanted to understand Gods heart. I decided to read Genesis during this period to understand God from the beginning. During this time, trauma of how I lost my father was brought right to the surface even though it happened around 15 years ago. Just before my dad’s passing when I was 15 God gave me a vision of my dad standing in front of thousands of people and testifying that he had beat cancer. I had encouraged my dad with this and felt such guilt when he passed away not long after. However during this fasting period God has shown me that the vision he gave me was my dad in heaven testifying and he gave it to me because he cares for me like a father. That is how i’ve got to know my Heavenly Fathers heart and how he gives us things even without us asking because he loves and cares for us. Just how he gave Leah a baby because he saw she was lonely and neglected by Jacob. How he saved Ishmael and Hagar from dying in the desert. My dad may have passed away but my Heavenly Father is there to teach me all the lessons I have missed out on.
