The Church you see is built on over 30 years of God's faithfulness.
Through many hurdles, we owe where we are today to the
faithfulness of God and many in the church.
Our heartfelt prayer through the years remains the same.
To see lives transformed through the power of Christ.
To see heaven touch the earth.
1956
ELIM CHORLTON FOUNDED
The first pastor was Jack Glass, father of Pastor John Glass who became superintendent of Elim Church GM & Ireland.
In his youth, John lived in Salford.
1986
PAUL & MAGS MARRIED
On May 10th 1986 Paul & Mags Hallam were married in Southport. Shortly after, they came to Chorlton, Manchester to lead Elim Pentecostal Church Chorlton. The church at this time comprised 16 adults and 3 children.
1987
THE VISION
Pastor Paul and Mags were stood outside Victoria station one day in 1987. A poster of a sea of tulips caught their eye. In that moment The Lord gave them vision for 'The Lighthouse'.
1991
THE LIGHTHOUSE CHRISTIAN
CENTRE
True to God's promise, in 1991 Elim Chorlton outgrows its building and builds a new purpose-built church on Sandy Lane Chorlton.
1993
JUSTIN & JO MARKS
They moved to Manchester and joined our leadership team. Jo & Justin have 2 children - Danny & Tom.

FIRST ALL NATIONS DAY
Celebrating our culture and diversity.
1993
ROMANIAN MISSION BEGINS
Pastor Paul & Mags discovered their heart for a mission after being called to Romania at the end of the Nicolae Ceausescu dictatorship. After seeing the conditions in which orphans were left by the state. They began missionary work in many parts of the country which continues to this day.
1995
RICHARD & PETRA CLARE
While Petra grew up in the house, Richard came in 1995. Richard spent many years as the youth pastor to a growing youth group. They are now children's pastors heading Lightforce. ( Sunday children's ministry)

1995
CASA NOASTRA CHILDRENS HOME
Taking in a handful of abandoned and orphaned children. Giving them a safe and loving childhood with great prospects.
1996
INDIAN MINISTRY BEGIN
Paul & Mags are called to India. They organise and outreach which sees tens of thousands come to Christ- starting ministry all over the country. These include two children's homes, Bethany children's home in Erode, Tamil Nadu and Lighthouse Goa. Also, a ministry in Bangalore that takes care of widowed women.
2000
LCC BUILDING EXTENDED
As numbers continued to grow, LCC Chorlton building is extended and opens its extension in November 2000.
2006
ALEX & NANCY ROBERTSON
They moved to Manchester and lead our growing set of Connect Groups in and around Manchester.
They have 3 kids- Jesse, Rachel, Joshua
2007
DELE & DUMEBI ODERINDE
Arrived in Manchester and lead Powercell prayer teams and Powerhouse. But now has opened a new church in Preston.
2007
JESSE WILLIS
Son of Alex and Nancy, Jesse is now our Young Adult Pastor. He studied at Elim Bible College.
2010
MOVE TO CENTENARY PARK, ECCLES
By 2010 the Church had completely outgrown the Chorlton premises and subsequently, the Church, LIM and its offices moved to the Media City UK area starting services in September 2010.
