“You shall call your walls ‘Salvation’, and your gates ‘Praise’” Isaiah 60:18
This verse comes from a chapter that is particularly special and prophetically significant to us at The Lighthouse, and it contains this promise: that our walls will be called salvation and our gates praise. In other words, people who come within our walls will find salvation, and people who come through our gates will experience praise, worship and the presence of the Lord.
Today we are praying for people who serve in the church, for the singers and musicians who make up our worship team, for the PA team who work on the sound desk, for the choir and for Joyful Noise and Genesis who all contribute to the worship of the church.
· Pray for the worship team and choir, that they will continue to rise to new heights this year, that as they serve the Lord with their skills, talents and gifts, that God will anoint them to lead us into a deeper place of worship this year, that we will experience powerful times in the presence of the Lord where we see signs, wonders and miracles, and where lives are changed and transformed in His presence. May we have such a reputation that they will call our walls salvation and our gates praise. May the praise of God resound powerfully to His glory week on week, and the intensity of His presence grow stronger and stronger.
· Thank God for the sound and PA team who serve faithfully every week, they are the first ones at church early on a Sunday morning getting equipment ready and ensuring that everything runs smoothly. Pray that God blesses us with more such servants who can bless the church with their expertise and skill.
· Pray for our young worshippers in Joyful Noise and Genesis, that as they sing and dance before the Lord they too will grow up to know his joy, his presence and his salvation. Thank God for Petra, Ruth, Isoken and all who lead and train them.
